Jungle animals include some of the worlds largest and
most unusual creatures, but just what is a jungle? And what is the difference
between a forest, a rain forest and a jungle?
The word "forest" significantly means an area
with a high density of trees. Forests can vary at low or high elevations, can
be relatively dry or very rainy, and can have temperature variations that still
support tree growth.
The jungle is an area of forest that combines warmer
temperatures and dense vegetation. The tree canopy is not as thick in a jungle
as it is in a rain forest, allowing sunlight to reach more of the ground.
Vines, shrubs, grasses and moss thrive in the lower third of a jungle making it very difficult to penetrate on foot. Jungles, then, are simply warm forests that are very densely vegetated at the forest floor. And here are some of the jungle animals that live there- Jungle Animals.

ResponderBorrarI also want to add this comment about what is an elephant mucus, because mucus is not the trunk or nose of the elephant.
An Elephant’s trunk is a complex appendage- it is mostly a muscular structure and is extremely sensitive to touch… it is actually able to pick up just one blade of grass at a time- it is used for breathing- for transporting food to the mouth ( the upper lip is actually part of the trunk)- and for drinking as well.
Because the trunk is used for breathing, it of course has plenty of mucous within it- mucous helps to keep irritants out of the Elephants nasal passages and helps to keep the trunk on the inside supple- due to the fact that Elephants use their trunks for drinking, the inside of the trunk is kept very moist which prevents a build up of mucous that we would know as “snot” and “ boogers”- so- no- there are no boogers in an Elephants trunk!

Me gustaron mucho los v铆deos sobre los animales salvajes y el aprender por que unos animales son salvajes y por que otros son dom茅sticos, me gusto mucho el v铆deo de los zorritos y aprender sobre ellos, me parecieron muy tiernos.... el v铆deo de las serpientes muy lindos los colores que tienen, pero en realidad no me gustan... S煤per aprender los diferentes felinos, su pelaje seg煤n el lugar donde viven.. Me divert铆 mucho con los v铆deos de adivinar el animal y de esta manera ampliar mi vocabulario en ingles. Hello Teacher, el mundo de los animales salvajes es muy impresionante, me gusto mucho. Algunos de mis animales favoritos son salvajes (el tigres, el cocodrilo, la jirafa), en el v铆deo de los felinos hay unos muy hermosos. No me gusto el sonido de las hienas me dio miedo y las serpientes tampoco me gustan. Me gustar铆a que existieran los dinosaurios me encanta ver cosas sobre ellos y aprender. Me dio tristeza ver que hay muchos que se pueden extinguir. Gracias profe por el blog, que tenga una feliz tarde.
